Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the Construction of a New DISA Facility at Scott AFB. Construction will include all labor, equipment, and materials to construct approximately 164,000 SF of an Information Systems facility to include computer operations space, server areas, secure compartmentalized information facilities (SCIF), administrative work areas, staging and testing areas, conference rooms, supply and storage areas, mailroom, cafeteria, break areas, restrooms, training rooms, loading dock, security and badging office, visitor reception area, and fitness area. This facility also includes space for uninterruptable power supply and associated battery/component storage areas. Supporting facilities include connection to the existing utility systems to include water, natural gas, electrical, sanitary sewer; fire protection systems and alarms; paving, walks, curbs and gutters; storm drainage, site improvements, and information systems. Antiterrorism measures will be provided. The estimated cost range is between $50,000,000.00 - $100,000,000.00. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 11-29-12 by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Provide descriptions of your firm's past experience on projects more than 90% complete or those projects completed within the last 5 years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Construction projects completed within the last 5 years which were new construction and included SCIF space designed in accordance with ICD 705 or DCID 6/9. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: New construction projects completed within the last 5 years which included a minimum of 115,000 square feet of space. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $55,000,000 or greater. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed. Based on the definitions above, for each project submitted, include: a. Identify who was the Prime Contractor b. Identify the percentage of self performed direct contract labor excluding other general condition or field overhead personnel, material, equipment, or subcontractors. c. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. d. Size of the project. e. Dollar value of the project.
