- The Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), anticipates soliciting for Short School Type Buses for Region 2 (16 person min capacity & 32 person max capacity). The solicitation number is AG-82X9-S-13-7002. The purpose of this Request for Quotations (RFQ) and any resultant Agreements is to acquire the services of Short School Type Buses as defined in this solicitation, for local, Regional, and Nationwide fire suppression, all hazard activities, and severity. The Agreements will be competitively awarded by Dispatch Centers within the Rocky Mountain Region. These areas consist primarily of the following locations: Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. The Contractor is responsible for all equipment, materials, supplies, transportations, lodging, trained/certified personnel, and supervision and management of those personnel, necessary to meet or exceed the Agreement specifications. The resources may be used in the protection of lands, to include but not be limited to, severity, fire suppression, and all-hazard incidents. This advertisement is a 100% small business set-aside opportunity. 1) Quotes shall be submitted in the Virtual Incident Procurement system (VIPR). To access VIPR you are required to have a Level 2 eAuthentication account that provides the ability to conduct official electronic business transaction. Level 2 eAuthentication information is available at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/eauth.php. 2) This solicitation will be utilizing the Vendor Web Application and can be found at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/pilotvendorapp.php 3) NO telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted, and NO paper copies will be issued. 4) Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) which replaced both the CCR and ORCA registries. www.sam.gov 5) The solicitation will only be available electronically (at the website listed in #2 above) and will be posted to the FedBizOps website at: http://www.fbo.gov on or about November 15, 2012 and closing on Feb 1, 2013, 5:00 PM MST. 6) A pre-quote information meeting is scheduled Jan 22, 2013 for the Forest Service location at 740 Simms Street Golden, CO 80401.
