- SPEYM113R0002 The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Division, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure two (2) eddy current systems meeting the following specifications: 1. Multi-frequency instrument capable of detecting impedance changes produced by tube discontinuities, displaying the principle changes on a display screen/monitor, and record the data on a media storage device. 2. System shall be capable of a. Operating in the differential and absolute modes, wither sequentially or simultaneously. b. Balancing the impedance bridge automatically or manually. c. Enabling a 360-degree rotation of the phase. d. Adjusting the gain to provide amplification of the eddy current signals. e. Suppressing or eliminating undesirable signals by signal mix. f. Producing a 2-or-more channel strip chart display of the eddy current instrument output voltages. g. Recording the output voltages from the eddy current instrument. Additional specification requirements, including software, are included in the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals) and the procurement will be set aside for small businesses. The solicitation number is SPEYM1-13-R-0002. The solicitation/request for proposals is expected to be posted on or around 16 November 2012. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at www.fedbizopps.gov, as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency.
