Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is RFQ2753994 and a solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005- 61. The National Institutes on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of the National Institutes on Aging (NIA) intends to issue a purchase order for Clinical and Administrative Services. The NIA has a need for assistance with performing a variety of technical, clinical, and administrative procedures involved in studies performed in its clinical cardiovascular library. The period of performance will be for One (1) year with Two (2) Option Years. Requirements The contractor shall have experience with the performance of research quality applanation tonometry studies, performance and interpretation of electrocardiograms, and performing Cardiac Echocardiography in order to perform the following tasks: • Perform high fidelity trancutaneous recordings of aortic, carotid, and femoral arterial pressure and flow (e.g) Pulse Wave Velocity) Using specially designed probes (e.g. SphygmarCor, Complior, etc.) • Assists the supervising Cardilogist in the accurate reporting and tabulation of acquired Cardiovascular data as needed to include electrocardiographic studies, etc. Specifically, the duties to be performed include but are not limited to the following: Location All work will be performed at a location to be determined by the Government at Harbor Hospital, 3001 S. Hanover Street, Baltimore, MD 21225 Quotations will be evaluated on the following criteria: 1. Understanding the project 2. Past Performance: Provide examples of similar work in the last 3 years. 3. Cost Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condition Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The quotations are due November 29, 2012 12:00 PM EST and will be submitted electronically to simpsoi@mail.nih.gov, Idella Simpson, Contract Specialist, 31 Center Drive, Room 1B59, Bethesda, Maryland 20892.
