- Description
- The Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to release an invitation for bid (IFB) numbered VA528-13-B- 0039 Project No. 528A7-13-702 - Renovate Comp and Penn on or about 18 Dec 2012. The contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tools, materials and supervision necessary to renovate the ground floor center core temporary pharmacy space for a new Compensation and Pension Clinic. The project will consist of converting approximately 3,900 SF of space that is currently unoccupied but was previously utilized as a temporary location for the hospital pharmacy service, into outpatient exam room space for a compensation and pension exam clinic. This renovation work shall include 10 new outpatient exam rooms with provider workstations, a check-in counter with two reception booths and staff areas, staff locker rooms, multiple secure patient record areas. The project will need to ensure that the existing footprint is completely reconfigured to include wall demolitions, ceilings, flooring, window additions or removals, minor structural modifications, asbestos abatement and electrical and mechanical systems. The project must replace and or relocate all electrical and mechanical systems and relocate fire protection as necessary to provide functional space. This project will completely demolish the necessary existing walls, electric equipment in adjacent closets and wiring, lighting, ceiling, floor tile, asbestos mastic tiles or other asbestos hazards, and mechanical ductwork from the current laboratory rooms. It is expected that all new electric and mechanical will be required from existing services unless infrastructure increases are necessary, completely new plumbing and drains will need to be run and all architectural finishes will be new. Card readers, and miscellaneous equipment shall be provided to ensure area security verification of existing site conditions that may affect required equipment clearances, power, data communication, piping configuration and flow conditions and federal, state and local requirements of the contract. The Contractor shall also be responsible for communication, obtaining permissions, permits, coordination with local utility service providers as necessary to meet the requirements of the contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220, with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 Million. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. The offeror must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and listed as a CERTIFIED VETERAN ENTERPRISE and be VERIFIED in the VetBiz database under the applicable NAICS. Firms may obtain VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203
