- Description
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District (USACE) is officially conducting market research that will be used to develop the Architect-Engineering (A-E) Acquisition Plan. This announcement is for market research purposes only; no solicitation exists at this time. To accomplish its mission, Savannah District will require A-E contracts providing the following services: General Design: Work may consist of preparation of reports, studies, project planning, design criteria, preparation of drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and other general A-E services for multi-disciplined new construction and renovation projects for its civil works mission, military and other government agencies. The work primarily consists of the design of new vertical construction on facilities commonly found at military installations (barracks, dining facilities, offices, training facilities, equipment maintenance facilities, labs, etc.) as well as horizontal construction projects (airfields, roads, ranges, etc.). In addition, support includes the Savannah District's civil works program consisting of hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical and coastal engineering. Firms may be required to provide construction phase and other services that may include preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, shop drawing review, and commissioning/start-up/fit-up design support. All design work must comply with the Savannah District Design Manual. As one of the USACE's Centers of Standardization (COS), Savannah District is responsible for maintaining and updating standard designs for certain Army facilities nationwide to included Company Operations Facilities, Brigade Headquarters, Battalion Headquarters, and Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facilities. As such, the Savannah District A-E contracts supporting this Army mandated program also support other Districts throughout the continental U.S. Participation in the Request for Information (RFI) process is important in that it makes USACE decision-makers aware of the capabilities that exist in the market. Your response is a key factor in the development of the acquisition plan. Responses will be collected via the online questionnaire only. Data collected will become the property of the USACE, and will be used to provide a snapshot of how businesses who participated are capable of providing A-E Services. USACE does not claim or suggest participation in this questionnaire will result in consideration or award of a federal contract. Participation in the questionnaire is entirely voluntary and non-participation will not affect the consideration of any company for future federal contracts. This questionnaire is internet-based, and does not require any special equipment or software beyond a typical web browser capable computer. To participate, visit the following website: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BWT8WDC RFI Number: W912HN-13-RFI-AEGD Applicable NAICS Code: 541330 The prospective contract duration is for five (5) years, consisting of a three (3) year base period and one (1) two-year option period.
