- Description
- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration intends to award a sole source contract to Del-Jen, Inc., 4465 Guthrie Highway, Clarksville, TN 37040-5422. The statutory authority permitting this acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. The requirement is for the operation of the Kittrell Job Corps Center located in Kittrell, North Carolina. The anticipated period of performance is a two (2) month base period with one six (6) month option period from the date of contract execution. The requirement includes the provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated total of 350 students (300 residential and 50 non-residential). The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 12:00 pm EST, November 28, 2012 that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via email to: andry.carol@dol.gov. The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
