- Based on further market research, and to help the VA reach its contracting goals, the solicitation shall be amended so that it becomes a Total Small Businesses Set-Aside. The solicitation shall also be extended through 11/16/2012. Project Scope: The contractor shall dispose of all regulated medical waste from each location in compliance with all Federal and State of Washington rules and regulations governing the packaging, transportation, and disposal of regulated medical waste. The facility locations are as follows: Spokane VA Medical Center 4815 N Assembly St Spokane, WA 99205 Coeur d'Alene CBOC 2177 N Ironwood Center Dr Coeur d 'Alene, ID 83815 Wenatchee CBOC 2530 Chester-Kimm Road Wenatchee, WA 98801 A Statement of Work (SOW) shall be included in the solicitation. The Request for Quotations number is VA260-13-Q-0043. Cascading set-aside procedures shall be in effect, reviewing SDVOSB, VOSB, and 8(a)/HubZone sources respectively. A determination shall be made by the Contracting Officer as to the adequacy of sources in any of the aforementioned categories. If there are not sufficient sources in any of the aforementioned categories then the field shall be open to all responsible small businesses. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ is current and should ensure that the applicable NAICS code (562211) is included in the SAM profile prior to submission of quotations. The anticipated start date of this contract is 12/01/2012. The contract shall be for an initial Base, ending 09/30/2013. Four possible extension options are provided, depending on contractor performance. The solicitation shall result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed-price contract. Interested parties are encouraged to register on the solicitation mailing list.
