Description

Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of one (1) Extended C + L band ultra HIgh resolution Optical Spectrum Analyzer with the following options: TLS output OSA01, Tracking generator OSA02, and 3 inputs (1 FC/PC for SM fiber input, 2 FC/PC for PM fiber input) for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is APEX Technologies, 9bix, rue Angiboust, 91460 Marcoussis, France. APEX is the only known manufacutrer of a new class of analyzer which uses Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) that provides significant improvements in resolution when compared to grating-based optical spectrum analyzers (GB OSAs). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within three (3) days of this issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
