- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), will be hosting a Vendor Outreach Session (VOS) located in Washington, DC, on November 29, 2012, from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. The VOS will be held at the Homeland Security Acquisition Institute located at 90 K Street NE, Suite 1200, Washington, DC 20002. Vendor Outreach Sessions are a series of pre-arranged 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from various components of the Homeland Security procurement offices. These sessions provide the small business community an opportunity to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. Also in attendance will be Prime Contractor Small Business Liaisons from several of the large businesses who have contracts with DHS. There is no cost to the small business vendors. Sign up for the November 29th Vendor Outreach Sessions will be on Thursday, November 20th 2012, beginning at 12:00 noon, Eastern Time. PLEASE NOTE: The November Vendor Outreach Session is reserved for Service Disabled Veteran-owned Businesses, and Veteran-owned Businesses ONLY in honor of Veterans Day. Individuals will want to register their companies ahead of time and choose a password for speed in signing up the day of registration.
