- Description
- DLA Aviation Richmond intends to issue a solicitation to procure the following supplies and services: CNC Vertical Machining Center (Heavy Duty, 4400# capacity), related tooling and accessories, installation at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (including foundation work), and machine training on-site. Total quantity is 2 machines. The solicitation will be unrestricted. A complete technical data package will be available when the solicitation opens. A site visit will be scheduled in December for interested vendors. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about 11/27/12. The anticipated closing date is 1/16/13. The anticipated performance period is 180 days ARO. A specialized Quality Assurance Provision will be included. Offers will be evaluated based on a lowest-priced, technically-acceptable basis. This solicitation will include provision 52.215-9023, Reverse Auction. Since a Reverse Auction may be conducted, offerors are encouraged to access the Procurex system and review the Reverse Auction help tutorials at: https://dla.ProcureXinc.com (link is case sensitive) to learn more about how to participate in an auction. The award will be made as a firm, fixed-price contract. FOB at Destination. Preliminary machine inspection will be held at Origin. Final inspection and acceptance will be at Destination. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP. Vendors should contact the buyer if they have trouble downloading the solicitation. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The solicitation details (including the technical requirements) will NOT be available until the official solicitation is posted.
