Description
Demolish and dispose of twenty-two (22) existing Fan Coil Units in second floor of Administration Wing and one (01) in the basement room B-111. Install nineteen (19) new Fan Coil Units in Administration Wing 2nd floor and one (01) in Basement room B-111 as specified per contract documents. Demolition shall include new isolation valves and appurtenances. New Fan Coil Unit to have factory installed unit mounted thermostats. Coordinate demolition and installation with COR so at all-time one side of room 2025 A&B can be used as a conference room. Work on opposite side of the conference room can only be done when one side is finished. Coordinate work on demolition and installation for rooms 2024, 2022 and 2020 with the COR to minimize work interruption. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - NAICS 237990 - Estimated price range between $100,000 and $150,000. To be considered for award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov) To be placed on the mailing list, please submit a request in writing via e-mail to c.o.shepard@faa.gov or fax to (816) 329-3137. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and control by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime and sub-contractor at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit of $750,000.
