- This is NOT a request for proposals this is for Market Research ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 11 Contracting Office, is seeking potential firms that have the capability to provide ambulance services primarily to the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, MI for trips within the city of Battle Creek, MI. There will also be inter-facility transfers between the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, and to the VAMCs located in Ann Arbor, MI, Detroit, MI, Saginaw, MI and Fort Wayne, IN. The estimated award date of the contract is April 1, 2013. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621910, which has a size standard of $14 Million in average annual receipts. Prospective firms shall be regularly established in the business called for, shall be financially responsible, and have the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish services. Service shall include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Services will be required on a 24 hour per day, seven day per week basis. Vehicles shall be staffed by Paramedics, ACLS trained Registered Nurses, or Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. All vehicles shall be licensed and meet the vehicle requirements mandated by Federal Specifications KKK-A-1822F, dated August 1, 2007. All qualified firms, regardless of business size, that are interested in responding are invited to submit their information via email only to the Contracting Officer Steven.Rowland3@va.gov. Notification must be received by the Contracting Officer no later than Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Contractors shall provide complete business information to include: (1) Company name, (2) Phone number, (3) Point of contact name and address (4) Socioeconomic Status. (Example of: Small Business Status (SB) or Large Business (LB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Minority Owned, Women Owned Small Business). Please reference "Sources Sought: VA Ambulance for Battle Creek VAMC" in the subject line of the e-mail. Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of this Sources Sought notice. This is not a request for proposals. The formal solicitation will be issued at a later date by a separate announcement. Phone calls will not be accepted or returned.
