- U.S. TREASURY ECONOMIC CRIMES ADVISORS - IRAQ PROGRAM The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting individuals on a competitive basis to serve as resident (long-term) and/or intermittent (short-term) advisors under personal services contracts, to support ongoing efforts of the Economic Crimes Team in Iraq. Expertise is sought in the following areas: •(i) Development of anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing regimes, including •- financial intelligence unit development, •- financial sector regulation and examination including particularly banking, •- financial investigation, and •- criminal prosecution, including asset recovery. •(ii) Anti-corruption efforts. •(iii) Criminal investigative task force development. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of ten years of work experience in any of the subject areas outlined above. Expertise in forensic accounting; internal audit; asset tracing; electronic evidence recovery methods; business process planning and information technology application; and/or curriculum development and adult education also are valued. Prior overseas experience working or training in challenging environments; technical assistance program management experience; as well as foreign language fluency (notably Arabic), should be highlighted by applicants, but are not mandatory requirements. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. resident aliens. SALARY AND BENEFITS : Salary range is from $72.00 per hour (for intermittent advisors) to $79.20 per hour (for resident advisors), in addition to overseas benefits as allowed by federal regulations. Salaries will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations and may be based on demonstrated salary history. Successful applicants must be able to obtain medical and security clearances.
