- Firm Fixed Price Contract for fresh produce item items including fresh vegetables and fruits and processes fresh vegetables and fruits for Ireland Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Knox, Kentucky during the period 20 November 2012 through 19 November 2013. The contractor shall have scheduled deliveries twice weekly being on Tuesday and Fridays with emergency deliveries for Mass Casualty (MASCAL) situations being delivered within 4 hours of being notified on any day of the week. The fresh produce items shall be delivered to the warehouse staff of the Nutrition Care Division. The fresh produce items will be delivered between the hours of 0600 and 1430 hours. All deliveries will be in accordance with the regulation TB MED 530 for safe handling of subsistence and supplies. Produce items are as follows: Lemon, fresh; Lettuce, iceberg, cello, fresh trimmed; Lettuce, shred; Onion, yellow, jumbo; Onion, diced ¼; Lettuce, leaf, crown; Lettuce, romaine; Orange navel; Pepper, green; Fruit, mix; Tomato, grape; Potato, Idaho; Tomato, diced 3/8'; Fajita mix, fresh strips; Stir fry veggie; Tomato, fresh; Lettuce, spring mix; Apple, red, delicious; Apple, granny, smith; Bananas; Broccoli, florets; Cabbage, green, carrots, shredded; Cauliflower, florets, Celery, diced; Cucumber, fresh; Carrot, stix, Celery, stix; Cucumber, sliced; Potato, red, washed & quartered; Potato, red, washed; Mushroom, sliced; Pepper, red; Pepper, yellow; Parsley, Radish, sliced; Spinach, baby; Grapes, white, Grapes, red. The acquisition is full and open. NAICS is 311991. Size standard: 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. The solicitation will post to the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site located at https://www.fbo.gov. Solicitation will be issued on or about 8 November 2012 with quotes due on or about 14 November 2012, 11:00 a.m. Fort Knox, KY, (Eastern) local time. Please note these dates are subject to change. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. All quoters must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) Environment (https://www.sam.gov) for CCR and ORCA data. Paper copies of the solicitation (SF 1449) will not be available.
