Description
PROJECT NUMBER AND TITLE: PORTABLE LATRINES This synopsis is a Sources Sought Notice being used to conduct market research. This is NOT a Request of Quote (RFQ) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not serve to bind the U.S. Government in any way. Interested parties will not be reimbursed for costs associated with preparation of their responses. The U.S. Government is seeking vendors with the capability of providing portable latrines to support a Department of Defense (DoD) exercise in Cameroon, Africa as described below: REQUIREMENTS: * 30 portable latrines: delivery, service, and removal * The portable toilets shall be free standing structures large enough for a single standing occupant. The portable toilet shall contain a waste holding tank, a seated toilet, a urinal, lockable doors, and ventilation. * The contractor shall stock each latrine with 4 rolls of toilet paper (2-ply) each day. The Contractor shall empty, clean, disinfect, and deodorize each latrine once per day between the hours of 0900 and 1600. Cleaning includes the removal all urine and fecal matter from inside the latrine and removal of urine and feces from the waste tank. LOCATION OF THE WORK: near to Douala, Cameroon METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Quote (RFQ) resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: 11 February - 2 March 2013 MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package including the full Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be posted shortly on FBO - Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). Note: The Government does not intend to support costs associated with mobilization of assets to Cameroon, Africa, in support of this operation. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice by providing the companies capabilities of meeting the requirement. Capability statements shall include the following: company name, point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, brief description of company and its capabilities, key personnel qualifications, experience areas, and history. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued as a result of this Sources Sought.
