- Subject: Request for Information Production and Integration of the Force Provider Electric Kitchen The Combat Field Service Equipment Team on behalf of Product Manager Force Sustainment Systems (PMFSS) have identified a need for a business which has the personnel, labor, engineering, services, equipment, materials, supplies, and facilities necessary to fabricate, manufacture, produce, and integrate Twenty each Force Provider Electric Kitchens (FPEK). This is necessary in order to meet the Army's Force Provider Acquisition Objectives for the FPEK. To achieve this objective the Army is looking to work with a single Integrator that will partner with various industrial capabilities (mandatory and small business sources as directed) which demonstrate the production and integration capability, addresses strict quality assurance practices with production, and demonstrates a capability to meet aggressive delivery timelines. The first FPEK will be delivered within 6 months after contract award. The remaining balance will be due two (2) per month each month after. Background Force Provider is a modular concept of habitat. Each FP system contains in one package all materiel necessary to support six hundred (600) soldiers with facilities normally expected in a "Staging Base" area (i.e., billeting, food service, showers, latrines, laundry, and recreational and support services), which enhances morale and welfare. FP is an air and surface transportable system and it can also be used for humanitarian purposes in the case of natural disasters. A single FPEK will support one Force Provider (FP) 600 man base camp and is capable of set up and operation by MOS non-specific personnel and will be maintained by MOS 63J (maintainers). All components fit inside the container for transport. An FPEK consists of one fully expandable 8 x 8 x 20 foot ISO container integrated with Kitchen appliances one fully expandable 8 x 8 x 20 foot ISO container integrated with food service sanitation equipment. The government is conducting this market investigation to acquire information on industry leaders that have experience in integration, lean manufacturing, quality assurance, quick turn capabilities, and have the potential to meet these productions requirements. Interested firms are requested to submit relevant information on their company within thirty (30) days following the publication of this RFI. Any relevant company background/experience, and any other information that the company believes demonstrates their value / ability to meet the aforementioned requirements should be included. Respondents must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and provide a DUNS number. Firms may register for CCR at www.ccr.gov. All information and evaluation results will be controlled and used for governmental purposes only.
