- Scope of Work USAG West Point Natural Resource Branch Operation of the Big Game Hunting Season Deer Check Station 1. The contractor will operate the Big Game Season Deer Check Station in support of the USAG-West Point Natural Resource Branch's hunting program from November 17, 2012 to December 9, 2012, five days a week to include weekends and the Thanksgiving Day holiday from 07:30 to the time the last hunter checks back in with Hunt Control (approximately 1 hour past sun down) - approximately 170 hours (17 days x 10hr/day). A. The contractor will correctly age the deer harvested from the West Point Military Reservation during the 2012 Big Game Season. a. The contractor must have experience aging harvested deer and will already be, or have the ability to become, certified as a deer ager by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. b. The contractor shall be familiar with bear data collection techniques. c. Within one week prior to the opening of the season the contractor will meet with the POC to review procedures and tour the check station facility. d. The POC will assist the contractor with operation of the station for the first two days of the regular big game season. 2. The contractor shall update records for the 2012 hunting season by: A. Entering all 2012 hunting season data to date, including small game, into electronic data forms provided by the Natural Resources branch. B. The contractor shall provide a password protected computer for data entry with Microsoft office products loaded. C. No data information shall be shared without approval from the West Point Natural Resource Branch. 3. West Point will provide all data forms, check station tools and a scale, as well as a heated work space for data entry and restroom facilities. The contractor is responsible for all other materials including rubber gloves, warm clothing, etc. 4. The contractor will operate the check station in a professional manner and maintain the West Point Deer Check Station hunting shack in a clean and orderly manner.
