Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Western Logistics Service Area has a requirement to modernize the Air Traffic Control Tower at Harry Shaw Field in Modesto, CA. Work includes, but is not limited to the following. Demolish concrete walkways, catwalk railing, and electrical panels. Hazardous materials shall be abated or encapsulated. Provide new concrete sidewalks and foundations. Construct new catwalk railing, cab roof railing, and safety improvements. Modify stair railing on interior. Provide architectural woodwork and seismic tie-downs. Provide cleaning, caulking, sealing, and painting on the interior and exterior of the tower. Replace toilet, louvers, signs, vents, and plumbing fixtures. Clean HVAC ducts. Replace major electrical panels. Provide exterior electrical panels and conduits. Replace almost all of the tower lighting fixtures. Provide minor drainage work. Provide trenching for electrical work. Clean, seal, and stripe the parking lot. An addition item for bidding is the relocation of the electrical meter and service connection from the street median to the tower property. Backup power generation will be required for the shutdown. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of fulfilling this requirement. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this effort is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 Million. Project cost range is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $1,500,000.00. HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS MARKET SURVEY: Interested contractors should submit the following documents to the point of contact listed at the bottom of this announcement: 1. Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. 2. Capability Statement - Specifically, previous experience doing refurbishing work with hazardous material in 24/7 facilities. Also include previous experience with the FAA/government. Include the dollar value of the work involved for both of these requirements. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PAGE LIMITATION OF SEVEN (7) PAGES MAXIMUM PER RESPONSE TO THIS MARKET SURVEY. THIS IS ONLY A REQUEST FOR GENERAL INFORMATION. EXCESSIVE SUBMISSIONS ARE NOT DESIRED. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
