Description

Brand Name Justification and Approval The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1 entitled, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; any offers will be considered; however, it is the Government's intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Ringtail Design. This procurement is for Brand-Name purchase of 16 Tilt Touch 27" Bare Bones Kit (BBK) manufactured by Ringtail Design for Commander's Tactical Vision (CTV), in support of The Command Post Systems and Integration (PdM CPSI). The BBK consisting of a transit case and a purpose-built display frame with a 27inch projected capacitance touch screen display. This is a Rapid Fielded Initiative (RFI) that will be fielded to Capability Set 14 ARFORGEN units. The CTV's common operating picture (COP) conveys the tactical situation more effectively than conventional maps and contributes to improved leader situational awareness during planning, mission execution, and after action reviews. The CTV system fuses operational and intelligence information by combining TIGR, DCGS-A and JCR data feeds into single common operating picture (COP) projected onto the capacitance touch screen display. The CTV system will provide immediate value to units deployed in theater. Delivery must be no later than November 24, 2012 in order to meet the Army requirements. No other brands will be accepted IAW (FAR) 3.302-1(c)(1). Please see the attached Documents further information.
