Description

Rail Car Solicitation and attachment 1 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation W912L9-13-T-0002 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The Indiana National Guard, Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC), Butlerville, IN, is seeking to acquire: (4) used five bottom hopper rail car, two (2) used low side gondola cars, (1) used flat rail car, one (1) used steel center beam car, one (1) used passenger car, and one (1) 40 ton locomotive with delivery. The requirements for these cars and locomotive are described in detail in the below statement of need (SON). The Government intends to award one Firm Fixed Price Contract and to solicit as a 100% small business set-aside.
