Description

Solicitation: VA69D-13-B-0075 Project TitleRenovate and Extend Elevator Project No. 585-12-102 Location:Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI Provide for and furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, supervision, and other items designated under the provisions of this Contract, Renovate and Extend Elevator, Project Number 585-12-102. The project work includes the renovation and extension of the two (2) existing 4 stop hydraulic elevators into a new single 5 stop hydraulic elevator at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Michigan. The project work includes modification to the existing elevator shaft and elevator landings; extension of the shaft to the 4th floor; installation of new hydraulic elevator car, rails, controls and other required appurtenances; and elevator landing access route modifications required for the new elevator layout. The project is to be completed within 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. Pending the number of interested vendors, this solicitation is anticipated to be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 19, 2012 with the bid opening on or about December 19, 2012. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with the class deviation to 804.1102 Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Database effective October 1, 2010, all SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program. If the successful bidder is not listed as verified in the VIP, the CO must contact the bidder and advise the bidder that it has 5 days to submit the verification documentation to CVE. CVE will process the documents and make a verification determination within 21 days of receipt of the documentation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration, SDVOSB or VOSB firms also must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) via the Federal System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible to receive an award (reference https://www.sam.gov.)
