Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc., 425 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ, 08854-4103. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month period. This requirement is to maintain existing therakos photopheresis equipment at the Nashville VAMC, that can only be maintained by proprietary rights by creator Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. is the manufacturer of this equipment. Johnson & Johnson is the sole source for installation and maintenance as well as inspections, due to the proprietary nature of the requirement. This equipment is proprietary equipment and can only be installed and maintained by an authorized technician from Johnson & Johnson. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by October 31, 2012, 12:00 p.m. (EDT). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
