- Pre-Solicitation Synopsis 1.This will be a competitive solicitation to Boeing, Cage Code: 18441, Airtronics, Cage Code: 58078, G.E. Aviation Systems, Cage Code: 81039 and McDonnell Douglas, Cage Code: 43999 for the overhaul/remanufacture of B1-B Electro-Mechanical Actuators. These assets are to be remanufactured and returned in a serviceable, like new condition. The solicitation (FA8118-13-R-0007) will be issued on or about: 9 Nov 12 and closes 30 days thereafter. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. This is a five year requirements type contract with one basic year and four 1-year options. The best estimated quantity for each year is 2 each. 2.PR Number(s): FD2030-12-00741 3.Remanufacture 4.RMC: R2/C 5.Electro-Mechanical Actuators 6.NSN: 1680-01-250-0275, P/N: R15040M1-2 7.Description/Function: Controls opening and closing of avionics bay door. Material: Item Dimensions: 3.00 inches in height, 2.00 inches wide and 8.90 inches in length. Weight: 2.80 lbs. 8.Quantity: Best estimated quantity of 2 each per year. 9.Applicable to: B1-B 10.Destination: To Be Determined 11.Required Delivery: 2 each due 60 days after receipt of order and reparable units. 12.Export Control: N/A 13.If unit price exceeds $5,000.00 then UID requirements will apply 14.POC: Kelli D. The Government does not intend to hold discussions but may hold discussions if it is deemed necessary. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
