- Description
- MARKET SURVEY This Requirement contract is for tug services for submarine and surface vessels visiting the Naval Ordnance Test Unit at Port Canaveral, FL. Required are one (1) U.S. flag tractor tug and one (1) twin screw tug to provide harbor support services and ship handling for the Port Canaveral area which meets the minimum bollard pull requirements as outlined below. The twin screw tug will be used in tandem with the tractor tug to support unassisted mooring training with SSNs and smaller vessel movements which will encompass eighty (80) per cent of the operations. (12 hour notification) An additional tractor tug will be required on an on-call basis (with a minimum seven (7) days notice) when conducting docking of larger submarines (SSBN/SSGN) and other large surface vessels. This will encompass twenty (20) per cent of the operations.
