Description
References: A. AISC, Steel Construction Manual (Thirteenth Edition) Appendix: Schedule of Steel (below) Scope Work:  Provide quantities and types of steel as identified in the Appendix.  All Steel must be domestically made with Mill Certification Papers Required.  Tolerances for variations in thickness, width, length, camber, profile, flatness and sweep shall be in accordance with Reference "A" and "B".  Final product shall be clean and free of any oil or grease, dross, slag or burrs. All cut edges (regardless of method) shall have a final surface roughness of 125 Ra or better.  Final product shall be legibly marked with the applicable designation, grade, heat number, size and thickness, and name, brand, or trademark of the manufacturer for identification and shipment.  Bundle and band the steel material (except I-Beams) in similar types/sizes for shipping and offloading with a forklift of crane from a flatbed-type truck. The fabricator/supplier shall use special care to avoid bending, twisting or otherwise distorting the final product during packing or shipping. Covering of the new steel during shipment is not required unless there is a possibility of ice or snow accumulation.  Cost for delivery must be included. Delivery Date: Request delivery of all material identified in the scope of work within ONE MONTH after award of contract. Soonest possible delivery is requested. The material listed above is to be delivered to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Illinois Waterway Project Office at 257 Grant Street in Peoria, Illinois 61603 between the hours of 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM Monday thru Thursday exclusive of Federal Holidays.
