Description
This is a SYNOPSIS FOR CONTRACTING BY NEGOTIATION in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) Code is 611699. The U.S. Army intends to procure on behalf of the U.S. Air Force the following services: Medical Modeling and Simulation Training. Support services include Simulation Coordinators, Simulation Operators, Research Engineers and Ancillary Administrative Support. This will be a Bridge Contract with a period of performance of six-months with one three-month option to allow for a competitive follow-on contract to be executed. The authority being sited is: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Services will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. The requiring activity is currently preparing specifications that will allow for full and open competition on the follow-on requirement. We anticipate award of the follow-on contract during the third quarter of fiscal year 13. Any bins or proposal received from this notice shall be considered. Work will be performed at the Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training Office at Randolph AFB, TX and designated Simulation Centers CONUS and OCONUS.
