Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source modification under Basic Ordering Agreement order #N00019-08-G-0010-4057 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), Stratford, Connecticut. The anticipated modification will require the Contractor to conduct an analysis of the flight loads, firing loads, and aerodynamic loads on external installations and to deliver a report. The Contractor shall provide the necessary personnel and equipment required to properly conduct the test and analyze the results. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to SAC in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" because they are the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the H-60 helicopter with the detailed knowledge to allow them to perform these changes in a timely and cost effective manner. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by NAVAIR.
