- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to inform offerors to change the email address for questions and submissions from kabulusaidoaamailbox@usaid.gov to kabulaidoaamailbox@usaid.gov The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development Mission to Afghanistan (USAID/Afghanistan), intends to develop a list of qualified Local Afghan Construction Contractors with the necessary experience, capabilities and financial resources to provide road operation and maintenance services for 83 km of the Salang Highway from Jabal-Seraj to Khenjaan. Proposal submitted under the RFP for the roads operation and maintenance services will be negotiated under the process set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. Sealed Bidding will not be used in this procumbent. USAID anticipates issuing a Firm Fixed Price contract for this work. It is also expected that all of the Operation & Maintenance activities will be completed within 18 months of the award date. This procurement is open to any local construction firm, which has the experience, capabilities and financial resources to complete the proposed project within the proposed timeframe. Such firms are invited to submit five copies of an Application for Pre-Qualification no later than 3:00 p.m. on October 24, 2012, Kabul time.
