- Description
- The Military Sealift Command plans to issue a solicitation for the time charter of one maritime support vessel. The vessel must be capable of supporting 50 personnel and have the ability to provide surge support to 207 personnel on short notice. The anticipated contract will include a seven-month ramp-up period, followed by commencement of the time charter. The time charter portion of the contract will include a one-year base period, three (3) one-year option periods, and one (1) five-month option period. The estimated start date is Summer 2013. The solicitation will be available on the MSC procurement website at https://procurement.msc.navy.mil/procurement/contract/RFPSearchEntry.jsp The RFP will be issued in Fall 2012. Prospective offerors are encouraged to provide comments on the draft solicitation as soon as possible to allow time to consider all information received. It is anticipated that the final solicitation will be posted before 31 October 2012.
