- Description
- The Marine Operations Center, Norfolk, Virginia has a requirement for Upper Level Engine Room Deck Repairs for the NOAA Ship OREGON II in accordance with the Statement of Work in the Request for Quotations (RFQ). Period of performance will be January 3, 2013, or date of award, whichever is later, through January 24, 2013. Ship Inspection shall be on November 27, 2012. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with Jon Rix, at 757-441-3495. THE BLASTING AND PAINTING SHALL BE DONE BY A SSPC/NACE QP-1 CERTIFIED PAINT CONTRACTOR. PROOF OF CERTIFICATION SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH BID. This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about October 11, 2012 with a due date of November 7, 2012. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov, and obtain (and provide with the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505. The FSC for this is J998 and NAICS Code is 336611, small business size standard is 1000 employees. No Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating assigned. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Prospective vendors who are interested in submitting a quote for this acquisition are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service and to be on the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis is posted).
