Description
BLADE, COMPRESSOR, AI; P/N P337P10; NSN 2840-01-603-5552; PR #0045517312; Unrestricted; Configuration Control Applies; Origin Inspection; FOB Origin to Stock Location; Electronic Offers are not acceptable; Offerors must submit a completed solicitation package. Approved source for this item is CFM International. DLA Aviation does not currently have an approved technical data package available for this NSN. Any manufacturer, other than the approved source, wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete Source Approval Request (SAR) package. Solicitation will be for a Firm Fixed Price quantity of 2,600 each. The solicitation issue date will be September 19, 2012 with a close date of October 19, 2012. Delivery requested will be 223 days ARO. This is a Critical Safety Item. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation utilizing Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS). It is anticipated that an award will be made against the OEM's Basic Order Agreement (BOA) and a letter solicitation will be utilized. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic order agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
