Description
The US Army Contracting Command, Joint Armaments, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is seeking sources that are capable of providing a quantity of two (2) bleacher units known as "Telescopic Seating" arrays as well as being capable of removing the existing seats. The following are the requirements for the seating arrays: 1.Each of the two Telescopic Seating arrays should be composed of a combination of five (5) rows of ten (10) individual fold-down seats. The sixth (top) row consists of twelve (12) individual fold-down seats. Each unit should hold sixty two (62) seats for a total of one hundred twenty-four (124) seats combined. The seating units can be composed of either metal or plastic, but shall be covered with material and padding. Each unit should have safety railings around them. 2.Each Telescopic Seating unit should be able to collapse into itself to fold into a much smaller profile, which can then be slid into an alcove. There are two separate alcoves and each alcove has the following dimensions: 71" High X 238" Wide X 48" deep. 3.The seating arrays shall be hydraulically and/or electrically controlled with a remote so that one user can safely and efficiently operate the array alone. Respondents should include information on power requirements of the bleachers mechanism. 4.Respondents shall be capable of installing the new seating arrays as well as dismantling and removing the older set. The entire existing configuration is a combination of metal and plastic. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and provide information of previous experience related to this type of work. The information provided will not be returned. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government NO LATER THAN November 6, 2012 to following POC: william.d.tenz.civ@mail.mil. In addition, please provide the firm's name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, and size of business (small/large). TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email. This is a market survey to be used for informational planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
