- Description
- This is an IDIQ contract with no pre-established fixed contract prices. The actual amount of work to be performed and the time of such performance will be determined by the Contracting Officer or his properly authorized representative who will issue written Task Orders to the Contractor. Award of Task Orders will be on a firm fixed price basis. Description of Work The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) will be for the design and construction, renovation or repair of facilities throughout Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The task orders will be for design-build, modifed design build, and design-bid-build construction projects. Task orders will be normally in the range of $100,000 to $650,000 with the majority anticipated to be in the range of $100,000 to $300,000. However the Government reserves the right to order work either above or below this range. In addition, thr majority of the work ordered will be for performance in Bahrain. Options The contract contains four (4) one-year options for a total maximum duration of 60 months or a value of $10 million, whichever occurs first. The Government has the option to extend the term of the contract in accordance with the FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within the period specified in the Schedule, provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary notice of its intent to extend before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. Minimum Guarantee The only work authorized under this contract is that which is ordered by the Government through issuance of a Task Order. The Government makes no representation as to the number of Task Orders or actual amount of work to be ordered during the performance period of the contract. The minimum guarantee for each offeror awarded a contract is $10,000. The minimum guarantee will be deducted from each MACC awardee ™s first Task Order award. Proposal Preparation Costs The costs for preparation of Task Order proposals shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and not directly reimbursable. Each Task Order awarded will include at a minimum all labor wages, management, supervision, mobilization, material and equipment costs. The Contractor shall furnish all project management, planning, estimating, labor, transportation, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, design if applicable, and all other associated costs necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Task Order. Project Plans and Specifications This solicitation includes plans and specifications for the seed project only. No plans and specifications will be included in the basic MACCs. Each task order request for proposal will be issued with its own plans and specifications specific to that project.
