Description

FORWARD DEPLOYED NAVAL FORCES (FDNF) ROTA, SHIP MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND MODERNIZATION Special Notice “ Site Visit The U.S. Navy will conduct a site visit and procurement overview in regards to solicitation N00189-12-R-0007 at the Naval Station Rota in Rota, Spain for the Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) Rota, Ship Maintenance, Repair and Modernization requirement. This site visit will allow interested vendors to view the pier space and limited lay-down area where maintenance will be performed. The site visit will be held on 15 and 16 November 2012 at 10:00 AM at Naval Station Rota, in Rota, Spain. For registration, email John North (john.w.north@navy.mil) no later than 1200 (EST) 10 October 2012. Each company shall register no more than two (2) employees. Individuals who have not pre-registered or who do not provide all of the required information will not be authorized to attend the site visit. The email shall include all of the following information for each attendee: - Company Name (including location/nationality), Address, & Telephone Number - Full name of proposed visitor/attendee - Nationality/Citizenship of visitor/attendee - Visitor/attendee Role/position in the company (including position location) - Passport or National ID Number - Security clearance reference*/** * European contractors should provide any of the following: NATO clearance certificate, EU clearance certificate, National clearance certificate (as applicable). ** US Defense contractors can submit copies of their security clearance info through the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO). If no security certificate/clearance is possessed, additional information should be submitted to inform the decision to allow access to Spanish military controlled facilities (e.g., previous experience working for US or Spanish Navies, previous work conducted at Rota Naval Base or other US/Spanish military facilities, etc). All interested vendors who have registered with NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN) and received confirmation of successful registration shall meet the U.S. Government escorts for attendee registration verification at 10:00am in The Hotel Duque de Nájera. From there, registered attendees will be escorted by bus to the site visit location. Late attendees will not be accepted. Once the site visit has concluded, attendees will be brought back to The Hotel Duque de Nájera. MEETING LOCATION Hotel Duque de Nájera Address : C/ Gravina 2 11520 Rota, Spain SITE VISIT LOCATION: Naval Station Rota Rota, Spain NOTE: ADDITIONAL SITE VISITS WILL NOT BE ARRANGED FOR ANY PARTIES WHO ARRIVE AFTER THE U.S. GOVERNMENT AND THE INSPECTION PARTIES HAVE DEPARTED FROM THE MEETING LOCATION. ALL PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO BE ON TIME. NO SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS WILL BE GRANTED TO PARTIES WHO REQUEST TO ENTER THE SITE PRIOR TO OR AFTER THE SCHEDULED SITE VISIT DATE.
