Description
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This requirement is listed as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112. This code shall be listed in your CCR and ORCA in SAM prior to award. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease (USAMRIID). The Minimum Essential Chactersitics are as follows: AN IV INFUSION PUMP IS NEEDED TO DELIVER IV ANTIBIOTICS FOR PROPHALACTIC THERAPY TO RESEARCH PRIMATES ON FUNDED PROJECTS Baxter Healthcare Company Name Brand or equal to Item #35700BAX with equivalent compatible battery (#35724) and mount carrier (#55092NS). Each pump must be able to deliver a flow of fluid at a rate of 1.0-99.9 ml/hr in 0.1m1 increments or 1-999 ml/hr in 1m1 increments, subject to the upper limit that also applies to the primary program. The VTBI Range must be 1.0-99.9m1 in 0.1m1 increments of 1-9999m1 for both primary and secondary of each pump. Factory set to NORM, which causes the device to alarm on air bubbles approximately 75u1 or larger. The MIN setting must cause the device to alarm on air bubbles approximately 50u1 or larger. Must have a battery life of approximately 6 hours with one pump running at a rate from 1 to 1400 ml/hr, and approximately 4 hours with both pumps running at rates from 1 to 1400 ml/hr. Power cord must be more than 9' long with a hospital grade 110/120V plug. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, October 3, 2012, and will only be available until October 11, 2012. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-13-T-0006. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors SHALL be registered with the Central Contractor Registry and have completed its representations and certification completed via SAM. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the SAM accessed through https://www.acquisition.govhttps://orca.bpn.gov/.
