Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for an expandable 2-channel Licel Transient Recorder data acquisition system. The specifications are as follows: 1.) 250 Mhz photon counting, summation up to 64k shots, memory depth 64k bins *50ns. 2.) Rack and Power Supply, 230V/110V, 50/60 Hz, linear regulated +5.4V,-5V, +15V for up to 6 transient recorders. 3.) Ethernet interface module option for transient recorder rack. Control and readout of up to 6 transient recorders 4.) Basic Software package, drivers for use with LabView and C routines, source code. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Boston Electronics Corporation, pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or service determined to be reasonably available from source.Boston Electronics Corp is the only known exclusive supplier of Licel products within the United States. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on October 12, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
