- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to repair/overhaul 98 Series Balmar Alternators used on the 47' Motor Life Boats. All replacement parts used during the repair must be genuine OEM parts - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination. It is anticipated to award a fixed-price Requirements-type contract consisting of one base year and four option years. All engineering and technical data, drawings, etc., required to manufacture these parts is proprietary information to the OEM. It is the Government's belief that only Mircotech Electronics Inc can successfully repair these Alternators, therefore negotiations shall be conducted only with Microtech Electronics Inc, and/or their authorized distributors. Concerns were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Sources Sought Notice HSCG40-12-R-50115 published on FBO on May 18, 2012. Request for Proposal (RFP) Number HSCG40-13-R-50016 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about October 22, 2012. This date is ESTIMATED at best. It is the offerors responsibility to periodically check FedBizOpps on or about this date for availability. The due date for proposals is estimated to be December 1, 2012 but the final deadline for submission of proposals shall be established upon release of the solicitation.
