Description
1. SCOPE (INFORMATION). The Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, subcontracting, services of manufacturer's representatives and all facilities, utilities, equipment, tools, lubricants, fuels, shore power, materials and articles (excluding Government-furnished property) required to fully execute the Mandatory and Contracting Officer authorized Optional work items specified herein. 1.1 VESSEL DATA (INFORMATION). The BIENVILLE is a welded steel towboat 60'-6" long, 22'-11" wide and 7'-6" deep. The light displacement is 126 long tons. The loaded displacement is 151 long tons. Loaded draft is approximately 6'-0". NOTICE: THE INTERIOR SURFACES OF THE VESSEL ARE COATED WITH PAINT CONTAINING LEAD. The Contractor shall perform all work in strict accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, laws, codes and practices regarding lead paint removal. The Contractor shall provide copies of all completed hazardous waste manifests to the Contracting Officer. NOTICE: The vessel is equipped with an automatic CO2 fire extinguishing system. The CO2 fire suppressant is automatically activated by heat activated devices located in the engine room and auxiliary machinery space. The system shall be disconnected by the contractor prior to the start of work and reconnected upon completion.
