Description
The Chugach National Forest, in Alaska, intends to issue a request for proposal solicitation for Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contracts for Forest Engineering & Road Maintenance (FERM) requirements. This solicitation will replace the existing FERM contracts that expire on 30 January 2013. Work will be performed in two (2) separate areas on the Chugach National Forest: Glacier / Seward Ranger Districts and Cordova Ranger District. The annual ceiling, for each contract awarded under this solicitation, for each period of performance, for both areas combined, shall not exceed $4,500,000. Work will include but is not limited to: Roadway Maintenance and Surface Grading, Roadside Brushing, Road Construction, Road Surface Maintenance, Road Decommissioning, Road Closure Structure Maintenance, Fabrication and Road Traffic Sign Maintenance and bridge installation and re-tensioning. A full solicitation package will be posted on or about 16 Oct 2012. Proposals will be due on or about 15 November 2012. A presolicitation meeting will be held. Full details will be available in the solicitation package. This will be a small business set aside. The proposed period of performance is: Base year: 1 Feb 2013 thru 31 January 2014; Option 1: 01 February 2014 thru 31 January 2015; and Option 2: 01 February 2015 thru 31 January 2016. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified, via email, of any changes to the project. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. INTERESTED VENDORS LIST (IVL): To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project. In order to receive any contract award, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). To register your firm in SAM, go to: http://www.sam.gov.
