Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for a service to develop a modernized and effective telephony solution. The TAC intends to award a sole source, one-year, firm-fixed-price contract to KT Consulting, Inc., 8585 East Hartford Drive, Suite 118 Scottsdale, AZ 85255, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, pursuant to authority 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), Veterans First Contracting Program and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5, Authorized or required by statute. The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-12-R-0678. Work under this acquisition will be performed at the contractor's facility. This acquisition will assist in the development of a modernized and effective telephony solution to be piloted. This pilot effort will test the feasibility of moving the entire VA organization to a communications model that is owned or leased by the Government and implemented and operated by a separate contractor organization. The North American Industrial Classification System code for this effort is 541512. The estimated date of award for this action is September 28, 2012. This is a notice of intent, not a request for proposals.
