- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to overhaul AuraGen 8kW Viper Generator and Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Part Numbers: M082-130 and M082-247 to support the U.S. Coast Guard 45' Response Boat Medium (RB-M). Overhaul must be completed in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number R-XX-XXX. All replacement parts used during the overhaul must be genuine OEM - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Government's belief that only Aura Systems Inc, or their authorized distributors, possesses the necessary technical and engineering data required to successfully overhaul these items therefore it is the Government's intent to solicit only Original Equipment Manufacturer Aura Systems Inc., and/or their authorized distributors. However, other concerns having the capabilities to provide these services are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the capability of the offeror, including acceptability of the offered replacement parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily repaired for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
