Description
Details for sources sought synopsis. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) and Request for Information; no solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research of industry to identify sources of supply that meet Air Force requirements. This is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bid. There will be no reimbursement for the information provided. The PATS (Portable Automated Test System) group of the 516SXMS/MXDED is building test systems for O-Level maintenance and repair. The PATS consists of COTS hardware. The software of PATS includes a custom Test Executive (TE) to run specific Test Programs Sets (TPS) to support the maintenance and repair effort. Because of the customized TE, the underlying API (Application Programming Interface) was written around specific test measurement assets. The Attachment #1 lists the required assets to be procured under a contract with their necessary corresponding requirements. Any deviation from the assets listed in the Attachment #1 is prohibitive due to the customized API of the TE. The PATS is a major O-level maintenance and repair program for the USAF. This activity will procure the assets necessary to repair and maintain current Electronic Environmental Systems, Weapon Systems and Avionics on various weapon platforms to insure on sight mission readiness.
