Description
The U. S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806- 5000, in support of the Army Research and Development Engineering Center (ARDEC) Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to identify qualified and capable sources demonstrating expertise in the areas of Micro Thruster Grain design, production and testing. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet the criteria referenced below. Respondents must demonstrate that they have the capability to: Design, optimize and produce a micro-thruster subsystem to incorporate into a ballistic 120mm projectile. Manufacture delays and micro thruster grains for 120mm Mortar Systems and demonstrate through static fire testing the performance for both. The contractor shall provide the USG with documentation to show they have the capability to manufacture the static fire and ballistic fire test samples. Must possess the capability to design and perform finite element analysis. Must be able to perform dynamic analysis, fabrication of the micro thruster grain. Interested companies should submit a summary that includes a brief description to include the following information: 1. Summary of Technical Capabilities; 2. Personnel inclusive of names, backgrounds and experience of the individuals; 3. Manufacturing & Inspecting Capabilities Experience; 4. Past experience with micro thruster design and grain fabrication. This Market Survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. The Government does not imply an intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future development efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this Market Survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. Interested firms are encouraged to submit their capabilities data No LATER THAN October 26,2012..
