Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Transportation Safety Institute (TSI), Highway Safety Division, intends to award a single-source purchase order for instructional services and technical assistance for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Highway Safety Program Management, Highway Safety Project Management and Managing Federal Finances and Tracking Grants. The FAA intends to issue an award to James Green (DUNS 078397418) of Excelsior Springs, MO, for the required services. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the specialized experience of the vendor. The anticipated date of award is 10/15/12, or sooner. The anticipated period of performance is 11/01/12 through 10/31/13. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The proposed NAICS code for this acquisition is 541611, "Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services", with a size standard of $14M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal. All questions pertaining to this announcement should be addressed in writing to the Contracting Officer, Brenda Elliott, via email to brenda.elliott@faa.gov or mailing address at FAA, MMAC, Office of Acquisition, MPB, AMQ-310, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, OK 73125. Questions must be received no later than 10/03/12, 5:00 p.m. central time. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
