Description
VET CENTER READJUSTMENT COUNSELING STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall furnish Readjustment Counseling Services for the Veterans Outreach Service in Hooksett, NH. This contract covers the geographical area covering 75 miles radius north and west of Greater Laconia area. The estimated hours of this contract are 7;00 AM thru 6;00 PM Monday-Friday excluding Holidays. This requirements contract will be for one year plus two option years. Contractor will establish readjustment counseling services to eligible veterans referred by Vet Center Staff members or Professional Staff members of VA Psychiatry, Social Work, Psychology or Nursing Services. The readjustment counseling for this contract will be on an individual one on one basis or in groups related to post war readjustment to civilian life. Family counseling is also part of this contract. This contract does not include general mental health, but only counseling related to post war readjustment counseling. Examples of the issued to be addressed in counseling: 1.Exposure to combat related war trauma. 2.Exposure to other aspects of war zone stress. 3.Post traumatic stress disorder and other ware related social and psychological difficulties. 4.Psychological concerns over possible service connected conditions. 5.Substance abuse connected w/ military duty and/or post war homecoming and readjustment. 6. Difficult post-war experiences, including disrupted homecoming and unsuccessful re-entry into civilian roles, 7.Concern over Agent Orange, biological or chemical agent exposure. 8.Generalized alienatation from society manifested by lack of family, education or vocation activities. 9.Any psychological difficulties related to type of military discharge for reasons other that dishonorable. Providing medications and physical examinations are not provided in this contract.
