Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Palo Alto Health Care System is issuing a Source Sought Notice to determine if there are any Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Small businesses (SB) that can perform data analyses on various health information technology research projects at the Menlo Park Division. The contractor will assist with quantitative analysis and will be responsible for the following deliverables: (1) Assembling the data for analyses (2) Performing analyses under the guidance of a biostatistician (3)Providing comprehensive data dictionaries for all datasets (4)Documenting all written code. The ideal contractor will have the following qualifications: Previous SAS experience is required and knowledge and experience of SQL is preferable as well. The individual should also have knowledge and understanding of biostatistics in order to work and perform the necessary analyses with a biostatistician. Master degree preparation in statistics or equivalent will be required. The individual should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with large data sets. The Period of Performance begins on/about October 1, 2012 thru September 30, 2013. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The proposed NAICS code is 518210 and the business size standards is $25 MIL. At this point in the procurement process the VA is performing market research to determine the interest of Service Disable Veterans Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, and Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)). Interested firms fitting one or more of the Socio-economic categories should send their information by email to Isabel Arroyo no later than 12:00 am Pacific Time, September 24, 2012. Information should include: Name of your Company, POC name, phone numbers, email address, CCR/DUNS certification, and indicate status i.e. SDVOSD, VOSB, and/or Small Business, if claiming SDVOSB and VOSB please provide VetBiz certification.
