Description

This is a Sources Sought announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Pittsburgh Regional Office, Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service (VR&E), Pittsburgh, PA is conducting market research to determine the existence of companies that can perform the following: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to complete residential home modification consistent with meeting the independent living needs of a disabled Veteran. Work to be performed includes construction of an addition, but not limited to; handicap accessible bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, driveway, ramps and accessible entryway into main house. The Government's estimated construction time for the project is 120 days. This based on the most current information available to date. Updated information will be posted electronically on Federal Business Opportunities as it becomes available. Place of Performance: Pittsburgh, PA 15235 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236118, and the small business size standard is $33.5M. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract. The project will be considered for sole-sourced to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned firms based on the response to this notice and extensive market research. Any interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief capabilities statement and a letter of interest to Bonnie Robinson via email to Bonnie.Robinson@va.gov. As part of your capability statement please include any current or past contracts you have been awarded or the ability to obtain sufficient proof of capability for this type of contract. In addition include what socio-economic category your company qualifies as (i.e Small Business, SBA Certified HUB Zone Firm, SBA Certified Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business). Any information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. To be considered in this research, please provide the information above not later than 3:00 EST on 19 Oct 2012.
