- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Open Market Purchase Order under Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR), Subpart 13.106 (b) Soliciting from a single source, to CEIA USA, located at 9155 Dutton Drive, Twinsburg, OH 44087. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has a requirement for the following open market items: Freight for 139 each CEIA SMD601 walk-through metal detectors as well as the installation and training on these metal detectors at various Federal Correctional Facilities located throughout the United States. The walk-through metal detectors are to be installed in either the Trust Fund or Food Service Warehouse areas of the institutions and in some cases both of these areas. The requirement will be awarded by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Central Office. The NAICS code for this requirement is 488999. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated services shall provide supporting documents demonstrating their capability and specifications by response date of this notice of intent.
