Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to Vendor questions and extend the submission deadline to September 26, 2012 at 9 AM EST. Please see below for responses to questions. ? CEC Ordering Portal RFI Q&A 1.Please let us know if this is an ongoing project or a new project? This is a new project. 2.If there is an incumbent, can you let's know who it is, what was the contract amount and how many FTE's are there currently? There is no incumbent for this effort. 3.Are you looking to use existing COTS products for the new modules? If so, which ones? We are looking to industry for feedback and recommendations on how to best address the VA's need. The plan is to integrate the module with the existing acquisition system which was developed for the VA. We will be looking at how the feedback meets our needs from multiple aspects to include development time, maintenance, flexibility for requirements change, licensing (if applicable), life cycle cost etc. 4.How many FTEs are you estimating for this effort? The Contractor should propose their best solution/approach. 5.Are you able to advise if there is similar or related work being provided to the VA? We have contracted with other vendors for the development and maintenance of the Virtual Office of Acquisition (VOA) tool used to help manage acquisitions with the VA. 6.If so, could you please provide the contractor's name, contract number, award date, expiration date, and value? Tridec Technologies 7.Please confirm that responses to VA's questions are not within the 10 page limit of the capabilities statement. Responses to questions do not count towards the page limit. 8.Please Confirm that a cover page and table of contents will be accepted outside the 10 page limit. Cover page and table of contents do not count towards the page count limit. 9.Will VA be providing the Development and Test environments or does the contractor need to provide these? The Contractor will need to provide the Development and Test environment for this effort. 10.Is VA looking for the Contractor to implement a database design to VA servers, or do you want the schema(as stated in the doc) and VA creates the database and tables. Please clarify. The database design is expected. 11.Request the VA extend the current RFI due date by two days to 9/26/2012. The RFI due date has been extended to September 26, 2012 at 9 am.
